2014 Chevrolet SS

2014 Chevrolet SS
Information Specification Modification Image Review 2014 chevrolet ss
It was only two months ago first Chevrolet Announced That it was ditching the Impala in next year's NASCAR Sprint Cup in favor of an all-new model, one That would also be joining the brand's passenger vehicle lineup in the new year.

Immediately this sparked rumors That either the Holden Commodore sedan or its long-wheelbase variant, the Caprice, would form the basis of the new model.

While tight-lipped Chevrolet Remains on the matter, a number of hints have Appeared online recently and this has reportedly Caused the official announcement date to be Brought forward.

According to Australia's Drive, an announcement of an export program for the Holden Commodore sedan to the U.S. is imminent, possibly as early as this coming Friday.

Some of the hints That point towards the Commodore being reintroduced to the U.S. market (the car was Previously sold as a Pontiac G8) include the sighting of Several left-hand drive Commodore prototypes testing in Australia alongside the Dodge Charger sedan, the which is sold exclusively in North America.

2014 Chevrolet SS
On the outside, the SS Performance Ford will take the approach with the Taurus SHO took. It will be very simple, but there will be an element of sexiness to its simplicity. Up front are a set of snake-eye-style fog lamps to help get through the low-laying Those patches of vaporized H20. The upper grille will feature a plastic chicken fence-like pattern, as will the lower grille, but the lower grille is a rectangle and slightly Wider than the upper grille.

At each corner you have a set of 10-spoke, 18-inch alloy rims, that are a polished silver. On the lower part of the rear door there is a Strategically placed "SS" logo on the Holden Commodore SS, the which we would Assume makes its way would to the states.

On the rear end, there is a trunk-mounted spoiler and a set of Altezza-style taillights. Just above the license plate is a little chrome treatment. At the base of the rear bumper, there is a small plastic air dam That has cutouts for the exhaust pipes. The exhaust is a bit of a wildcard, as the Holden Commodore SS has dual exhaust tips, whereas the SS-V models has a set of quad tips (two on each side). The quad tips look sweet, but we Assume only the dual exhaust tips will make it to the States.

2014 Chevrolet SS
The current Holden Commodore Remains available not just as a sedan, but also as a wagon and ute. Do not count on seeing either variant in the U.S., though Pontiac toyed with the idea in the form of the G8 Sport Truck before the brand died. For now, we'll be happy with the SS. If it's anything like the Dearly Departed G8 GXP to start, we're pretty sure Chevy fans will be as well.

2014 Ford Mustang

2014 Ford Mustang
2014 Ford Mustang,  Last week at the New York Auto Show I couldn't get J Mays to talk about the new Mustang at all. His PR folks had him on a total gag order. We do know that the next Mustang will be a bit smaller, have IRS, and it's probably not a stretch to say it will be a more modern looking car that borrows some of the design language seen in other recent Ford vehicles. But Michael Ramsey at the Wall Street Journal is predicting a fairly radical departure from the retro-theme Mustangs we have been seeing recently, and and says it will be designed to appeal to a younger audience (the average age of a Mustang buyer is 51). Will it look like the Evos concept below? Time will tell.

In a move certain to elicit praise from muscle car fans with kids—and perhaps an equally huge outcry from automotive purists with a fondness for coupes—Ford Motor Company has announced plans to introduce a sedan variant of the Ford Mustang. With sales of rivals, especially the Chevrolet Camaro, eating into Ford’s share of the pony car segment, the Dearborn automaker has decided to take a radical new approach by introducing this 4-door offering in 2014.

The horsepower battle that has been raging between Ford and Chevy recently culminated in the 650-bhp Ford Mustang GT500 and 550-bhp Camaro ZL1. During the 2012 New York Auto Show, a 1000-bhp Mustang, the Shelby 1000, will be on display. While this kind of firepower is impressive for drag-strip figures, these ultimate speed machines make up only a tiny sliver of sales output.

Strength Through Numbers
Ford representatives explained that the addition of two doors makes the Mustang more user-friendly, and its spacious back seat will make the car appeal to an entirely new type of buyer. The benefit, at least from Ford’s point of view, will be a noticeable boost in sales output for the ‘Stang. Even though the Mustang will no longer be such a narrowly focused niche product aimed at enthusiasts, the new Mustang sedan will offer much the same performance as its coupe sibling.

The ride and handling balance will undoubtedly lean toward comfort, if only because of the added length and expected weight gain. The 2014 Ford Mustang sedan is approximately 11 in. longer than the coupe, though the extra length is balanced by shorter front doors and a significantly reworked C-pillar. While a Boss 302 sedan like the one pictured is not all that likely, Ford reps have confirmed that even more changes could be in store for the Mustang.

A hybrid-powered variant, or possibly even a diesel version, could be introduced to increase the Mustang’s hitherto dismal ratings when it comes to fuel efficiency. The move might sound drastic, but stricter fuel economy regulations could force the muscle car and pony car market into even more unfamiliar territory. And think of all that torque!

Look for the 2014 Ford Mustang sedan to make an appearance later this year, possibly during the Los Angeles Auto Show, or in Detroit in early 2013. Sales begin next year, with pricing to be revealed closer to the on-sale date.source:roadandtrack.com,autoholics.com,gminsidenews.com

Specification Modification Image Review 2013 BMW M6 Coupe
Out of a passion for elite performance and an appreciation of exclusive style comes the allure for which M Automobiles are renowned - and which can now be experienced in two new forms. The new BMW M6 Coupe and BMW M6 Convertible offer top-class performance attributes and an ambience defined by luxury and innovative comfort features. In so doing, the high-performance sports cars developed by BMW M GmbH exude a level of poise and assurance unmatched in the premium segment of the executive class - and reflected authentically in the expressive design of the two models. The precise interplay of their high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology and 412 kW/560 hp, a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic, Active M Differential, model-specific chassis technology, an ideal weight balance and optimised aerodynamic properties serves up a particularly full-blooded M experience.

The conceptual harmony characteristic of M Automobiles also incorporates the specific features of the two models' body structures. The new BMW M6 Coupe has a dynamically contoured, lightweight roof made from carbon fibre- reinforced plastic. The new BMW M6 Convertible, meanwhile, is fitted with a high-quality soft-top, complete with eye-catching "fin" styling and fully electronic opening mechanism. All of which allows the driver and passengers to enjoy the dynamic performance of a high-performance sports car in harmony with the natural forces of the sun and wind.

As with the previous M6, the new super duper two-doors share almost all mechanical components with BMW's venerable M5 sedan. Power for the new BMW M6 comes from the same drivetrain as the M5: an amped-up version of BMW's S63Tue twin-turbocharged, direct-injection, 4.4-liter V-8. Peak turbo boost of 21.7 psi helps produce 560 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque; the latter delivered in a flat band between 1500 and 5750 rpm. The new mill produces 10 percent more horsepower than the retired 5.0-liter V-10 and is 30 percent more efficient at the same time, BMW says.
A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission transmits that power to the rear wheels, complete with shift paddles on the steering wheel and a launch control mode. BMW claims the M6 coupe will hit 62 mph in 4.2 seconds and the M6 convertible in 4.3 seconds; both are electronically limited to 155 mph.

2013 BMW M6

The four-seat 2013 BMW M6 Coupe and Convertible are both powered by the 4.4 liter high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo Technology making 560 hp at 5,750 – 7,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 500 lb-ft (680 Nm) between 1,500 and 5,750 rpm. The rev limiter comes in at 7,200 rpm. Mated to a 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic, 0 to 62 mph comes in at 4.2 seconds for the coupe and 4.3 seconds for the convertible. 0 to 124 mph takes just 12.6 seconds for the coupe and 13.1 seconds for the drop-top M6. Top speed on both models is limited to 155 mph.

While the output and performance of the 2013 BMW M6 has been pumped up over its predecessors, the new model consumers roughly 30 percent less fuel due to the introduction of new BMW EfficientDynamics technologies including Brake Energy Regeneration and the Auto Start-Stop function.
The BMW M6 Convertible will hit dealerships in June 2012 as a 2012 model year, while the M6 Coupe will arrive in dealerships in the late summer of 2012 as a 2013 model year. Pricing, EPA fuel-economy ratings, standard and optional equipment will be announced at a later date.

2012 Ford B-MAX
Information Specification Modification Image Review 2012 ford b max
The new Ford B-MAX is now available to order priced from £12,995 to £18,895. Ford's latest model is based on the existing Ford Fiesta platform and is available in three trim levels - Studio, Zetec and Titanium.

Featuring Ford's Easy Access Door System, the B-MAX has traditional hinged front doors and a pair of sliding rear doors that do without the need for the central pillar structure.
When both doors are opened fully, the B-MAX offers an opening that is more than 1.5m wide. Both front and rear doors can be opened independently.

Entry-level Studio models are offered with a 1.4-litre petrol engine and a five-speed manual transmission. Standard specification includes electric windows, electric door mirrors, remote central locking and front, side, knee and curtain airbags.

The Zetec is available with a choice of three petrols and one diesel engine including the new 1.5-litre TDCi and 100bhp 1.0-litre EcoBoost. Buyers also have a choice of manual or automatic transmissions. The Zetec also comes with 15-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, manual air-conditioning, a leather trimmed steering wheel and a DAB digital radio as standard.

The B-max, which is just 110mm longer than a Fiesta, also has another ace up its sleeve: it'll be available with the punchy, economical 1.0-litre Ecoboost, which has impressed CAR in the Focus. It’ll be available in 100PS and 120PS versions, the latter returning 57.6mpg.
Other engines include a new 75PS 1.5-litre diesel, capable of 68.9mpg and 109g/km. The 95PS 1.6 TDCI, and 1.4- and 1.6-litre petrols will also be offered.

Company executives are peeved that Ford's brand equity still lags Volkswagen's, and RVs on cars like the Mondeo are pegged to anvil-off-a-cliff depreciators like the Insignia, rather than the floatier Passat. The hope is that, long-term, innovative cars like the B-max will help lift Ford above the shark pool of Korean, French and other rivals. source:carbuyer.co.uk,automobilemag.com,carmagazine.co.uk

The Spin shares its platform architecture including its 2,620mm (103.1-inches) long wheelbase, mechanical hardware and design language with the Cobalt.
If you were not impressed with the Cobalt's styling, then we are going to guess that you will not warm up to the Spin either as it looks awkward, as if someone took the Cobalt and stretched its height on Photoshop…

The interior, which can seat five or seven people, depending on the trim model, also shares many parts with the Cobalt including the partially digital instrument cluster, steering wheel and center console designs.

Chevrolet says that with seven occupants, the Spin's load capacity is 162 liters, which can be increased to 710 liters in a five-seat configuration and 1,668 liters with the middle row seats folded down.

There are two available models, the five-seater LT that comes equipped with standard air-conditioning, power steering, ABS, EBD, dual airbags, power windows and locks, plus height adjustable driver's seat and steering wheel.
The LTZ adds a third row of seats, trip computer, parking sensors and steering wheel controls.

2013 Ford Escape

2013 Ford Escape
Information Specification Modification Image Review 2013 ford escape

There was nothing substantially wrong with the old Ford Escape, other than how old it was. To be fair, it was updated just a few years ago, but next to Ford's latest products, the Escape looked practically ancient.

I use the word "looked" specifically, because it's the most obvious issue. The blocky, two-box style simply looks out-of-date. The interior also looked like it was designed in the middle of the last decade, and the materials quality looked on-par with that era as well. A lot has changed in the past few years, at Ford especially, and change has finally come to the Escape in a big way.
For starters, this new Escape looks nothing like the old Escape, though if a lack of continuity is its biggest problem, Ford has little to worry about. And it doesn't. This new Escape, an evolution of Europe's Kuga, is a very good crossover. On paper, Ford promises more cargo space, more passenger space, and better fuel economy. On the road, it delivers more than that.

2013 Ford Escape Speedometer

2013 Ford Escape

2013 Ford Escape Interior
Upright, tall, and designed to imply truckishness, the previous Escape didn’t have a single aggressive, sporty line on its body. That is certainly not the case with the new model. It has sporty creases pressed into its sheetmetal, the windshield is splayed back, the roof is lower, and the front fascia looks vaguely threatening. It’s the same story inside. Simple, square, and upright have been replaced by complicated, multifaceted, and enveloping. Cabin materials now look and feel expensive, although we did notice that a few fits were askew in one of the early-build examples we drove.

The newness continues under the skin. The previous Escape’s Mazda-based platform is gone, replaced by a beefed-up version of Ford’s Focus architecture. Three four-cylinder engines are available, and each comes connected to a conventional six-speed automatic. There is no longer a manual offered, nor is there a hybrid version. (Ford has opted to hybridize its U.S.-market C-Max instead.)

The expected growth of Louisville Assembly will make it the largest factory in Ford’s North American division, said Steven M. Stone, building chairman for UAW Local 862. Union and company officials say that each job at the factory is expected to create at least six spin-off jobs at auto suppliers and other affiliated businesses.About 200 of the workers who will be on the assembly line today are newcomers to Ford’s UAW work force and will earn roughly $16 an hour, far below the $28 an hour and up earned by veteran union members.

2013 Hyundai Elantra GT
Information Specification Modification Image Review 2013 hyundai elantra GT
Ever value-conscious, Hyundai is looking to save money on badges for its latest five-door Elantra. Why else change the name from Elantra Touring to the revived Elantra GT moniker? The new hatchback makes its debut at the 2012 Chicago auto show alongside a two-door Elantra

Bigger and Smaller at the Same Time
Name change aside, the second-generation Elantra five-door is again an Americanized Hyundai i30. Hyundai points out that the Elantra GT will have more passenger and cargo room than all of its five-door competitors, save for the recently enlarged Subaru Impreza. It fails to mention, however, that those numbers are down from the last car. That’s partly because the new i30—and, as a result, this GT—loses its upright, wagon-style rear end; it’s shorter in length and height, rides on a shorter wheelbase, and is slightly wider than the car it replaces. Seats-folded cargo capacity is down by 14.3 cubic feet to a still-competitive 51. All told, it’s a lot more attractive than the outgoing car and fits in well with the rest of the Elantra lineup.

The current generation Elantra can seat up to five and has very accommodating trunk space. Two trim levels are offered: GLS and Limited. Both use a 148-hp 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. A six-speed manual transmission is standard on the GLS trim, while a six-speed automatic with SHIFTRONIC is standard on the Limited trim and available on the GLS. Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, electronic stability control with traction control and six airbags. Available features include a power sunroof, turn signal indicators on exterior mirrors, 17-inch aluminum wheels, heated leather seating surfaces and Bluetooth.

The Elantra receives several changes for 2013. The GLS trim now sports 16-inch wheels and tires, cruise control, air-conditioning and a telescoping steering wheel. The Limited trim gains a power driver seat with lumbar.
2013 Hyundai Elantra GT

2013 Hyundai Elantra GT

2013 Hyundai Elantra GT

Visually, the Elantra Coupe looks much like the sedan. Looking head-on, the only way to tell one apart from the other are the fog lamps -- the Coupe's are considerably bigger and extend closer to the center of the car. From the side, the elongated front door and small rear window conspire to make the Elantra Coupe seem smaller than it really is. It's from the rear (or at least the rear three-quarter) where the Elantra Coupe looks the best and sportiest -- thanks in no small part to the visible exhaust tips.
It remains to be seen how much of an impact the Elantra Coupe will have on total Elantra sales, but a properly executed variant never hurt anybody. If this two-door gamble pays off -- given that the selection of compact coupes currently on the market consists of Honda's much-derided-though-not-that-bad Civic and Korean-sister-come-archrival Kia's Forte Koup, it doesn't seem that risky -- the Elantra, with additional help from the also-new GT hatchback variant, could take the sales crown in the compact segment.source:autos.aol.com,caranddriver.com,motortrend.com
